Shapes

Shapes allow you to display a square, and vary its colour, line width and line colour. It is also possible to display ellipses and rounded rectangles, but these do not work if the test, survey or lesson is delivered in web ages. The maximum number of shapes you can have in one screen is 100 (including shapes in feedback areas).

Style and Visual Appearance

The colour, line colour, and line width are automatically set according to the Style setting. Click here to find out more about creating your own style. If you wish to directly alter the colour, line colour, and line width then change the Style setting to Custom and the controls you need will appear.

Other Controls

Lock. If lock is selected then you will not be able to move the Shape using the mouse or the arrow keys on the keyboard — it prevents accidental movements. However, you can still move and resize a Shape by entering values in the Left, Top Width and Height fields.

Layer. Shapes, Buttons, Pictures and Text Areas can be made to appear above or beneath each other. Change the Layer setting to bring the object forwards or backwards. Layer 1 is shown at the front, and layer 10 is shown at the very back. Note also that Drags, Menus, Fields and Videos are always shown on top of other objects, and this is why they do not have Layer menus.
